Have you ever heard of the Vestal Virgins of Rome? This bizarre but endearingly human Roman ritual & tradition involved girls and women devoting themselves to a life of virginity in exchange for the honor of being able to keep the flame burning in Rome.
The Romans believed that as long the Vestal Flame burned bright, Rome was protected. The goddess that resided over and within the sacred burning flame was Vesta! Vesta ruled over hearth and home and she refused to marry powerful gods remaining a virgin by choice & devotion to her spiritual path.
Vesta reveals to me, as I traverse the complexities of your natal charts, an innate ability to express or suppress divine sexual, life force energy & which areas of life spark your inner flame while also exposing where you may have a “nun-like” devotion to a cause, which imbalanced can be unhealthy.
Vesta moves graciously out of Capricorn where should served us well and prepares to enter precarious territory as she moves in Aquarius in March 10th. Our inner passions become inflamed by injustices and social debates as we feel more devoted to our community as a whole and searching for ways to give back and create positive change.
This energy will also awaken our kinky sides as more unusual sexual energies surge forth in unexpected ways. We have the opportunity to experience what it feels like to allow that energy to move through us with curiosity instead of judgment.
Spirit also shows me a new type of technology that is being constructed & experimented at this time that does allow more cohesion between communities of people of all socio-economic backgrounds.
I have Vesta in Cancer in my 12th house! What’s your Vesta sign? Let me know!
