On December 22nd, Ceres Retrograde, the asteroid goddess of nurturing, seasons, cycles, and loss, leaves behind the mentally focused Gemini to re-enter Taurus, helping us get back in touch with what our bodies need while revisiting themes around self-worth through self-care.
Ceres is very much connected to the energies of the moon but she takes this archetypal feminine energy of nurturing and nourishment and tunes it to a finer frequency. Just like mother moon, Ceres rules rhythms and cycles, seasons of wavering ebbs and flows, adoption, parenting, grief, loss. The cycle of receiving and then letting go is the essence of Ceres in her finest hour.
Taurus is an excellent energy for Ceres to operate within but her energy can attach strongly and in Taurus that’s like gorilla gluing your fingers together. She can get stuck in situations for a while.
As a collective, we may feel a resistance to necessary change out of desire for stability and comfort and equating our own self worth to how much materialistic wealth we have or to by how many people need us.
The best thing to do during this time is to look at which house this is transiting for you and to look at where you are experiencing resistance to letting go of what can be considered dead weight. This energy also creates a very fertile ground for something new to be planted in.
What’s also fascinating is that Rahu (the north node) and Ceres have formed an exact conjunction and will enter Taurus together, which is telling of how our soul growth depends on how much dead weight we are willing to let go of from our past so we can evolve into higher state of worthiness.
Ceres will be transiting my 10th and 11th houses during her stay in Taurus. Which house is she transiting for you? ⬇️⬇️⬇️
